USER EXPERIENCE
Elective

During the course User Experience, theory and practice, I have read and discussed different papers on topics that are related to- or touch upon user experience, which brought me more theoretical knowledge about the behavior and experiences of people. We worked on a challenge contributed by Philips Healthcare. These insights gained during this course support me in becoming a designer that can design and realize interactive systems through a user-centered process, with approaches and methods that are carefully chosen based on well-established theories and research.

Elective Master 1.2

In collaboration with: Philips healthcare

Together with: Marije Baars, Frederique de Jongh, Jing-cai Lui and Jiangxue Xu (report) Jordy Albas (manifesto)

My key learning points: Thorough understanding of UX and its relation to people’s drivers and motivation; Theoritical knowledge about behaviour and experiences of people; Establish arguments with different UX theories; Reflect on perspective on UX and take position.

We were challenged to design a smart changing room for patients in the MRI-scan department. The challenges of this UX course enables us to experience how different companies apply UX theories in the business context.Through this course I learned about multiple theories, methods, tools and practices while designing for UX. I learned to reflect on different perspectives on UX and reflect on previous and future projects regarding UX.
